Revel Participates in Estée Lauder’s Tech Day of Pink
Deciding to “Think Pink”
At Revel, we are constantly looking for ways to show our support for philanthropic causes across our global offices, which made participating in Estée Lauder’s Tech Day of Pink a very easy choice.
Estée Lauder’s History with Tech Day of Pink
Estée Lauder is known around the world as a leader in the fight against breast cancer, and as a bonus, also happens to be a Revel client. Their annual Breast Cancer Campaign, founded in 1992 by the late Evelyn H. Lauder, is the company’s largest corporate philanthropic initiative and is active in more than 70 countries.
When Estée Lauder’s chief information officer Michael Smith joined the company two years ago, he made it his mission to drive participation across internal teams by creating a special Tech Day of Pink. During his tenure, a simple idea to direct employee’s attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month evolved into an external ask to technology partners everywhere to wear pink on October 10th in honor of those affected. The effort’s goal is to help raise awareness and donations for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF).
A Look at Revel’s 2019 Participation
When invited by Estée Lauder to participate in this year’s Tech Day of Pink, the decision to join the ranks of other tech companies driving awareness for the cause was an obvious “yes.” Employees across Revel’s global offices showed their support by wearing pink, and shared photos using the official hashtags, #TechInPink2019 and #TimeToEndBreastCancer.
Revel proudly made a donation to BCRF on behalf of all of our employees and the Tech Day of Pink initiative this year. We look forward to “thinking pink” across our offices next year, and until then, here are some photos from this year’s celebration.
