Located in Sydney’s inner west, Archie Rose clocked up more accolades in its first year of operation then many bar operators could ever dream of. Specialising in craft gin and whisky, the award winning distillery and bar took out the title of Best International Bar at the 2015 Restaurant & Bar Awards in London, and was named as a “Master for Consumer Experience” at the inaugural Distillery Masters awards by UK spirits publication The Spirits Business.

The Archie Rose team had big ambitions to make their distillery and bar a world class venue and needed a point of sale that was robust, intelligent and intuitive to match. Revel’s all-in-one tailored solution provided the answer that Archie Rose was searching for.

Cloud-based backend

Nigel says that Revel’s cloud-based backend has meant that Archie Rose saved up to 25% on set-up costs as they didn’t need to spend a considerable amount of money on a back office server. In addition, it also gives Nigel great flexibility as he can easily change products, add discounts and edit the menu options from anywhere in the world using a web enabled device.

The Revel Solution

Being a brand new business, Archie Rose not only needed a solution that was highly intuitive for the new team to easily master, but also one that would be up and running in a timely manner. After a lot of research, Archie Rose decided to go with Revel due to the functionality, design and support that our iPad-based solution provides.

Why Revel

“Some of the great features that we use are the advanced reports that get updated in real time including labor reports, product reports, payments, discounts and many more.

“Other features include the Search Feature which comes in handy when training new staff; if they are not sure where a product is located on the POS, they can quickly search for it instead. This saves a lot of time, and means customers will be served in a timely manner.
