Richard Irving partnered with the Drinks & Co founders as the business was gaining momentum thanks to its competitive pricing. Richard now oversees the operations of Drinks & Co and is responsible for the business's growth and development. Opening a bar for the first time brought out its own set of new challenges, one of which was maintaining control over the complex inventory. They sought out Revel as a solution to best streamline their operations and scale their business.
Richard's experience with a previous POS left him without a comprehensive solution to his inventory. If he wanted to scale, he needed an automated system that will count products and keep track of them.
With multiple locations, Richard needed a system that can make changes to all locations through one central console. Revel was a big advantage in ensuring that new products and price changes were accounted for.
"If you can do inventory count in a couple of hours at the end of the month, if you can delegate that to subordinate staff and it's very easy for them to follow through with it and do it accurately. If you can do quick service and everything's gonna be at the end of the day very neatly fed through to something like Xero or QuickBooks and it just saves a lot of time and it keeps things nice and tidy and accurate."

Leaving the corporate life behind, the Drinks & Co founders chased a new dream, a dream that realized itself on Club Street. Starting with a small showroom shophouse on Club Street, Drinks & Co quickly turned into a favourite spot for local city workers. Given the success, they quickly saw the need to scale and sought out Revel as a solution, "...we really wanna scale this and make it much easier to count products on the shelf, keep track of stock, then we need something which is more automated and a lot more sort of user-friendly on the back-end, which is why we went to Revel." With three locations running at once, Richard needed a system that allowed him to focus "on service and actually looking after the guests."
